Lolo Larding's Bievenida

Despite the howling wind and downpour, the Aguirres and Tanquiluts got together to welcome our favorite and original KUYA... Lolo Larding Aguirre! He and Lola Nena flew in about three weeks ago. The guest of honor had no qualms posing for the camera.

Lolo Larding very happy to see everyone
Lolo Larding has a lot to smile about! He now has 2 "apo(s) sa tuhod". Congratulations Lolo!

Tita Cory, Mama, and Tita Myr chatted up a storm!

Everyone brought/bought their own culinary delights. Present on Lolo Ric's round table were:

Pansit and Pichi pichi from Amber, assorted fruits, best seller potato salad (obviously, naubos kaagad kaya empty bowl na lang ang nakikita), and hito.

What's a party without Sugpo and Kare Kare ?! And the bagoong to complement this classic Filipino dish.

Kids were all over the place! It's pretty amazing how all of them have grown over the last few months.

Bettina Aguirre changed her outfit two or three times that afternoon! Doting parents, Christine and Tito Ron, can't seem to get enough of this little angel. She looks just like Daddy! With Mommy's innate sense for fashion of course. The Aguirres went to Hong Kong a few months ago for three weeks and Christine reports she genuinely enjoys being a full-time mom to Bettina.

Inigo Aguila loves his toys! In the first floor bedroom in Lolo Ric's house is a toy haven! He loves his toy motorcycle (which Fonzie got to ride a few times), and he enjoys sliding down his small slide.

Ginger is the sweetest thing since honey! Check out her demure smile and how she held her skirt. She's pretty tall for a four year old!

Now who wouldn't love Fonzie Arteta?! This boy loves loves loves fruits! He gobbled several slices of watermelon! Fonzie can also say a few phrases here and there! He knows he has an equally good-looking cousin named Arvin Dylan.

Stella Galica looks just like Daddy Mark. Mommy April is so very fond of her kids. Gelo looks just like her and now Stella looks like husband Mark. His and her kids!

Here are the inseperable Aguirre sisters with their chikitings.

As we waited for Tita Alda's ginataan, we all exchanged kwentos. We reminisced about our Baguio trip and the special bond that Gibo and Tita Guste had. Hehe! Tito Mar also shares that Gibo once said, "Ang sarap talaga sa Baguio... Pero sino nga ba yung di nakasama??". Of course he was referring to Tito Mar. Bata pa lang alaskador na!

Ate Lheng! Kulang ka sa pic na ito! This is the girls' club. It's been a while since we last had our overnight sessions at Onyx street!! Ratio of single gals and married gals... 1:1!

Here are some more pictures of those who came to welcome Lolo Larding...

The Tale of Three Puppies

Finally! After a week of arduous waiting, Kitkat, our black Labrador, has finally given birth! The vet had to intervene, and she had to undergo a C-Section to deliver the pups! She had the operation this afternoon. I was soooo excited to go home! I was even thinking of ditching my oh-so-important class to go straight home! 'Course I didn't. Hehehe. Anyways, Tonton brought the pups home. They were in this small box. So tiny and so precious!

We fed them immediately with puppy mlik (yes there is such!). They were just sooo cute when we were feeding them! All of them are male pups by the way.

Tonton and I thought of names.... Conan, Kelso, and Kuzko. We all love those guys.

The Vet reports though, that the black pup has a weak lung and has a slim chance of surving. We've been taking turns stroking them and paying close attention to them in the past hour or so. It was so hard the last time Kitkat gave birth when we lost 5 puppies. I really pray all three survive. The first week is the most critical week, the vet said. So we're really hoping they all will grow into strong adult labs someday.

We will name these precious little buggers at the end of their first week. Just so we won't jinx anything.

They've been crying out a few times, which the vet said is pretty ok and normal.

Mama was amazed at how excited we all are! It's like we have new babies (we all love kids) to take care of and love. Well... we do in fact.

What's In Your Friendster Photo Gallery? (Part Two)

It's time for another "What's in Your Friendster Photo Gallery?". This time around, we're featuring three of our cute and lovely relatives...

Known as Krissy Bitchy Gorgeous in Friendster, Maricris Santiago-Nuguid is forever a gimik girl. This call center agent from Cyber in Angeles Pampanga enjoys going out with friends. Sister Sheryl also lives in Angeles and Tetet (as she is known to us), is keeping her company. Tetet enjoys shopping, just like any regular girl.

Hailing from Reseda California, Aileen Bautista is Tita Cion and Tito Ben's unica hija. Several months ago, she celebrated her 18th birthday in style! In this picture, she is with her very good friend Jaime (who was also her escort that evening). Aileen is a nursing student and is without a doubt the baby in her family.

Oh how time flies! See how Nikki Gutierrez has grown... She looks sooo much like her Tita Svet! We love her kikay hirits and they way she bonds with all her siblings. Nikki is still in grade school. She is living with Kuya Lance, Layne, and Mommy Trudie in Cavite.

**If you wish for me to feature what's in your friendster photo gallery, leave a note in the CBOX!

Quickie Updates

Hey peeps! Here are a couple of quick updates!

Ate Gret reports that Tito Vlad is currently on the road to recovery. He is now undergoing therapy in their Queens home. Tita Baby has been diligently assisting Tito Vlad and providing support. Let's all continue to pray that Tito Vlad fully recovers soon.

Aguirre Reunion Alert! The wave of balikbayans has begun! Just in time for Lolo Pepe's upcoming birthday celebration at the Dusit Hotel. First to arrive are Lolo Larding and Lola Nena. Last weekend, they tagged along with the La Pieta group. They went to Pampanga, and Lolo Larding treated everyone to the best selling Razon's Halo-Halo. We hope to see Lolo Larding and Lola Nena soon.

Good news! Erick Paragua, fiance of Ate Mylene Puno, just received news that he might be assigned to the US for two years! Visa processing is underway. Hopefully, Ate Mylene will be able to join her soon-to-husband. Congrats on the opportunity, Erick and good luck!

Torres Dental Clinic

From their Teoville home to this now new and improved clinic! Our one and only DMD in the family, Dr. Abigail Torres, is keeping the dental peace!

Ate Abi's clinic is conveniently located along the main avenue in BF homes, a few minutes away from the McDonald's along Sucat Road. A popular landmark is the Putong Ube stand which is right outside the clinic.

Step right in patients! The waiting area has a real homey feel (syempre home din to nina Ate Abi! Their more private bedrooms are right above the clinic). Sit back and wait for your turn! Maraming mga patients si Ate! From the Timberpro regulars to walk-ins, and a couple of referrals. Posters on the wall give you a couple of tips about dental health.

Aba... Talagang di ka maiinip sa Clinica Torres! Their television set is most of the time tuned in to GMA 7. Kapuso in the house!

A wooden partition and a curtain separates the waiting area from the work area. Here's Ate Abi checking her appointments for the week. Hmm... Fully booked na ba Ate? Of course merong BIR permit!! And a couple of cute pictures of the Arteta family. There's also a caricature of Cha, Ate Abi, and Fonzie on the wall. Funny backstory about this caricature... it was done by an artist when they visited Tagaytay more than a year ago. Imacheen.... the artist thought babae si Fonzie! Not a first!

Root canal anyone?? Here's Ate by her Dental chair. Check it out! Fully airconditioned ata ang Clinica Torres!

Here's where Ate Abi keeps her Dental paraphernalia. As mentioned in the previous blog entry, Ate recently attended a conference. Of course, updated si Doctora Torres sa mga latest sa dentistry!

So if you think you need braces or have your teeth cleaned, Ate Abi's clinic is always open! Well... not always... Monday to Saturday. By appointment. Walk ins are most welcome!

The Tanquilut Clinic

Hey folks! I know I promised you guys pictures of Tito Mar's clinic in Tondo! Well, here they are! (We just figured out that I could transfer pictures from my phone to our laptop! Via bluetooth!)

Anyway, conveniently located beside several stalls, Tito Mar's clinic is a bright beacon of medical services. Painted the cheery color of yellow, this clinic is Tito Mar's way of continuing Tatay Doctor's legacy.

Step inside the doctor's clinic! Syempre merong official doctor's desk si Tito Mar! Complete with the very professional white coat! Naks! Most of the items and furniture used in Tito Mar's clinic actually belonged to Tatay Doctor!

What's a clinic without an examination bed? Here, Tito Mar's beloved patients lie down and relax as the doctor makes his diagnosis.

These two are regular visitors of the clinic! Tita Gina is helping Tito Mar manage the patients' records, while Gibo.... well... he's just a circumcision waiting to happen! Hehe!

Thanks for dropping by the Tanquilut Medical Clinic! Do drop by again (Or tell your friends to!)

**Coming soon... Ate Abigail's Dental Clinic!

Chika Express...

Here's some chikka express for you all!

Sheryl Santiago is five months pregnant! And the family knows the gender of the baby coming. It's girl! Pero wait... I'm not sure if this has been confirmed by Ultra Sound, or if I just distinctly recall Tita Myr commenting that Sheryl is the blooming preggy lady that it seems she is carrying a girl... Hmm...

Tito Boy and Tita Edith are going on a US/Canada vacation this coming July. They leave on July 12. On their itinerary... Los Angeles, Tennessee, Toronto/Vancouver, then New York. Have a good trip!

It's offficial! Yssa passed the St. Scho Pep Squad! She is now a regular member of the team! About 42 girls tried out and only 8 became regulars! We will be cheering Yssa on when she cheers for SSC's athletic teams.

July's First Saturday and Tito Boy's Beeday

Last Saturday, the first of July, we all got together for the First Saturday Prayer meeting. It was also a celebration of sorts for Tito Boy's 58th birthday. The usual Tanquilut and Aguirre suspects were present. The Tanquilut (Tito Boy's) family led the prayer. But ye leading the dancing was none other than the very cute Fonzie.

Here are the prayer leaders for that Saturday: Mitchie, Tita Edith, and Tito Boy.

Queensland Catering was ever present to serve us with their tried and tested best sellers... Macaroni, Spare ribs, Fish Fillet, Roast Beef... Yummmy...

Guests came to pray and to wish the birthday Boy a happy birthday. The boys in the drinking corner kept Tito Boy and Tita Edith entertained with their riotous discussions (whose topics remain to be unknown to me still. Hehe!). It's pretty easy to guess that Tito Lito had a lot to do with the laughs.

Lolo Pepe, Lolo Ric, Lola Nieves, Tita Cory, and Tito Bert represented the Aguirres.

Of course, what would a Tanquilut party be without Pampanga's best? Hehe! Here's the reigning queen of San Isidro and the man to be of Marikina.

Although a lot was going on outside, the small room inside was also filled with kiddie fun! Here's Fonzie in Danny's girlie shoes!! Naku Mama Abby! You guys better keep a close eye on Fonzie! Haha! Mama Abby shares that Fonzie generally enjoys wearing adult footwear.

The camera loves baby Ianna! She looks fragile and every bit innocent! Here she is with mommy Andrea. I don't exactly know what Ianna was thinking of when this picture was taken. But we love that perplexed look!

Here are the Yaps with expecting mom (5 months on the family way!), Sheryl. Vaughn is without a doubt the nicest, kindest kid in the block. Mommy Sheryl is scheduled to bring Vaughn to the hospital for a check up soon.

A little into the evening, we got around the blowing of the candles on the chocolate flavored Goldillocks cake. The birthday Tito Boy was more than happy to blow the candles. Pero nga pala... the original candles which Tita Myr got read "57", which is a year off. Hehe. O diba! Pabaliktad na ang beeday!

Several other people blew the candle on the cake! Sheryl S (who celebrated her beeday last June 30), Tita Gina, Carol, and Fonzie (who always blows the candles on any occasion!).

Happy beeday Tito Boy!!
