Bohol and Cebu Adventure, Part 1A
The sun was barely up on the very early morning of Friday, April 28th, when we (me, Tonton, Rommel, Papa, Mama, Tita Myr, Lola Naty, Lola Juling and Tita Marison), left the house for the domestic airport. As seen on the clock, it was a litle past 2:30 AM when most of us (myself and Tonton excluded because we were up all night!), hessitantly got out of bed. Despite the early hour, most of the ladies seemed in the mood for a quick picture.
The van was not even out of San Marcelino st., when Tita Myr realized she did not bring with her a valid ID. Airport security has tightened over the last few months, so before entering the airport, one will need to present his or her ticket and a valid ID. So we made a quick stop at Teoville and Tita Myr got her prehistoric passport (we were all kidding na baka "Tanquilut" pa ang pangalan na asa passport nya. Hehe!). Finally, when we got to the airport, everyone got in ok, baggage checked in, breakfast had, and consciousness in tact. We waited for our 5 AM plane to depart, while happily listening to our iPods.
We finally got to board the plane, a little after 4:30 AM. The plane ride was ok. Cebu Pacific boasted of their new Airbus A319, which I think is a pretty good upgrade from their old planes. Some of us got to eat the inflight snack of Dewberry cookies and orange juice, while some of us just slept through the entire plane ride (oh yes! That was moi!). The view from the plane was spectacular! Clouds fluffier than ever!
Our first stop (and not our final destination) for that day was Cebu. The plane landed in Mactan Cebu International airport, a little past 6 AM. The airport is pretty much like the NAIA airport in Manila. When I saw these posters right beside the restrooms, I couldn't resist the photo op.
Next stop was the Cebu port, where we were scheduled to take the 9:30 AM Ocean Jet Ferry to Bohol. We hung out at Ocean View Cafe, while waiting for our boarding call. While some of us slept soundly, others kept themselves preoccupied by reading the newspaper.

The view just outside the port was phenomenal.
