Remembering Lolo Gil's Passing

Last Wednesday, Tito Boy treated some of us at Dragon Prince resto to commemorate Lolo Gil's passing (it's been 29 years).

Wedding Bells!

Our very own Marjorie Tanquilut will be walking down the aisle soon with boyfriend Mark (who she met in college). Congratulations, Majo!

Tito Vlad turns 61!

Tito Vlad celebrated his 61st birthday at the Gutierrez Las Pinas home last Saturday. Aside from the very happy celebrant, the spotlight was on the lechon baka! Super yummy!

In attendance were a little over a hundred friends and relatives. Tanquiluts, Pinedas, De Mesas, Occupational Therapists from Asian Hospital, and neighbors!

Here's baby Jianna showing some cleavage!

Tita Jo and Tita Babes organized the program for the evening. Tita Babes welcomed the guests.

Reia prepared an awesome video which told Tito Vlad's story and his triumphs.

Tita Jo and Kuya Din said a few words about the man of the hour.

We played the necktie game with the boys. The guys formed a circle and took their turns tying knots. The pace picked up when the boys decided who to victimize. Haha. As their consequence, Kuya Marlon sang "Be My Lady" and Tito Hermie danced the banker's dance.

Edward said a few words and his speech was very touching. The audience was enthralled.

The birthday celebrator thanked everyone for their support. At the end of his speech, he turned to his wife, Tita Babes, and thanked her for taking care of him.

After the games and formalities, it was on to singing! Tito Frank brought his trusty guitar and we all took turns singing acoustic. Even Monina and Reia took the reigns!

Lolo Larding's Despidida

Lolo Larding flew back to the US a few days ago, and some of us took him out to dinner. Present as well are the Bautista balikbayans. Crabs galore! Yummy!

Naic Cavite with the Balikbayans

Tita Along and Tito Philip Echaluce warmly welcomed the Tanquiluts in their Naic Cavite resort.

Gimik with the Cousins at Central and Laiya

For two straight Saturdays, the posse took the balikbayans Aileen and Noel out. Our own humble way of welcoming the tourists!

Right after Lola's birthday last August 25th, about 12 or 15 of us went to Paranaque's pride... Central BBQ Boy Grill! We went to the Better Living branch, which was less crowded. We had a couple of pitchers of mixed drink they aptly call "Bad Trip" (Milet, hindi ito Blues Clues). Noel and Pao had a drinking challenge and Noel obviously won, chugging down a record of 8 shots!

Happy to report that Milet was proclaimed "The Hulk" for this evening!

September 1st, right after the monthly First Saturday Prayer meeting, the cousins went to Laiya in BF, where we sampled their drinks. Deng. Super fun! We played drinking games and Aileen took most of the consequential shots. Haha.

"The Hulk" for this evening was Aileen!

Sa uulitin!
