Fonzi and Flores de Mayo

Our very own Alfonso Arteta participated in the San Antonio Valley 10 and 11's Flores de Mayo yesterday. Lola Myr, Lola Marision, Mamsie Lody, and the Artetas were there to cheer him on.

Fonzi arrived at the Geocaniga residence a little past five. He was very excited to put his Barong on! It's been a couple of months since he last wore his barong, and he has grown a lot since then.

Finally! Doesn't he look dashing?

There was a small show of Ati-atihan dancers prior to the march around the small village.

Unfortunately, it rained. But Fonzi's supporters were ready with their umbrellas and lamps! Fonzi accompanied Jodie, his partner. Other girls wanted Fonzi as their partner.

Love Letter from Canada

Hey peeps! Tita Mila emailed me a sweet, sweet letter! Check it out!

Dear Ten-Ten and Nerie:

Nerie, thanks for your e-mail. How is everyone ? We enjoyed our relatives' visit very much. It was very memorable for us. It is always good to spend time with family and renew or strengthen ties.

Did they tell you we were laughing all the time? It was such fun. Please tell them we still miss them.

I know Tita Nati is still in LA, as I spoke to her recently. Mommy is doing well. Please continue your prayers, and we are sure they are already working.

It was nice to see our uncles and aunties having a lot of laughs. Marison was such a riot! When I left the Philippines she was still a child and haven't had much chance to get to know her, and I'm glad we had the chance to spend time together. She was really enjoyable.

Of course we miss those who were not with us. So give our love to everyone- uncles, aunties, cousins, pamangkins, apos. We love you all and hope to see you again someday.

Tita/Ate Mila

Lolo Pepe and Lola Ining's Wedding Anniversary Pics

Lolo Pepe and Lola Ining celebrated their wedding anniversary last weekend with family and friends at the Dusit Hotel. The buffet spread was pretty colorful. Tito Bert, Tita Viava, Tita Baby and Lolo Pepe's old friend, Jaime Guerrero were all part of the entourage. The family did a touching tribute to the couple with lots of candles and Lolo Ric lip-singing "My Way."

Thanks to photographer of the weekend, Tonton, for taking pictures!

Vacation Pics: Vancouver

Scenes from Vancouver...

Lolo Ric, Lola Nieves, Lola Juling, Nanay, Tita Marison, Tito Romy, and Tita Lody, all had a blast during this first leg of their Canadian trip. They visited Stanley Park and Butchart Garden, to name a few. They braved the biting cold with their turtle necks and layered outfits! Of course, what better way to keep warm but to stay very close to each other?
