** BG Boy and Marjorie's grandfather, Lolo Blas Cervantes, mother's side, passed away a few weeks ago. The Tanquilut family would like to extend our deepest and sincerest condolensces to the Cervantes family.

** An out-of-town-gimik is brewing! The boys are planning a post-birthday gimik in Pampanga with the Santiagos. Tentative date is this Saturday, the 16th of February. Nothing definite yet. Will keep everyone posted.

** Tita Babes was discharged from the hospital last Friday. She is now on the road to recovery. The Tanqs visited Tita Babes at their Las Pinas home last Sunday. Edward and Tita Guste are keeping the Gutierrezes company. Tita Babes looks well!

Happy 30th birthday to our very own Brian Tanquilut! He has been working in the Jefferies Group for more than 4 years now. He finished his Masters in Business Administration in Vanderbilt University. He enjoys watching HBO's "The Entourage" and spending time with his girl Elizabeth. Brian is the oldest son of Tito Boy and Tita Edith, and he is a kuya to Sheryl (Mitchie) and Lester.

Happy Birthday Abigail!

Happy happy birthday Dra. Abigail Torres Arteta! Our favorite family dentist goes by so many names: "Ate Abi", "Geng-geng", "Lab", "Bigail". She's the Torres unica hija and bunso. Mommy to Alfonso (who is frequently featured in our blog), and wife to the buddy ng bayan, Chacha. Ate Abi is one of the nicest persons you'll ever meet. You can find her making her patients' teeth as bright and sparkly as ever at her dental clinic along the main road of BF Homes Paranaque. While she may be Fonzie's playmate, she has no qualms about sternly calling him "Alfonso" when he gets too rowdy.

Quick Family Updates

** Tita Baby will be undergoing a hysterectomy today (1pm) at Asian Hospital. Please pray for tita's surgery, that she may recover quickly. To the Tanqs in Manila, please SMS Edward if you'd like to visit Tita Babes (for the room number).

** Lheng is back in Dubai. She flew back almost a week ago after two happy weeks here in Manila. Some of the peeps from Paranaque got together with her and best friend Maricar the night before her departure. We're hoping she'll return in December.

** The De Lusongs recently got back from their vacay in Disney World, Florida. Pictures to be posted soon!

** Lencx, BG's better half, recently opened a store, selling her kikay stuff. Her best selling items from the successful Santana Grove bazaar make an appearance once again. Please visit Lencx's store and check out her stuff.

February 2008 First Saturday

Tis the second First Saturday of the year. And most of the prayers were dedicated to the eternal repose of the late Junie Manzano, family friend of the Geocanigas and a La Pieta member.

On the menu tonight were pakbet, dinuguan, BBQ, sinigang sa miso, and daing na bangus.
