Bohol and Cebu Adventure, Part 3B
This is the last installment to our Bohol-Cebu adventure (I think...).
After Shangri-La Mactan, we went to Plantation Bay, which is also a pretty awesome resort. Again, our "purpose of visit" is to look for Wedding venues for Lola's nuptial celebration. Hehe! The hotel concierge was nice enough to allow us to tour the resort-spa on their "jeepney-let" (It felt more like a golf cart, dressed up as a jeep).
Plantation Bay itself is pretty impressive. It had a more laid-back, intimate feel. There was a lagoon right smack in the middle of the resort-spa. I'm not sure if this is man-made or not. And there were cottages and suites overlooking the lagoon.
I particularly liked this white gazebo which stood close to the lagoon. This place seems like a very "wedding proposal" sorta spot.
We bid the Bay adieu and went to the dried fish and pasalubong district in Cebu City for some serious shopping. Ibang klase din yung amoy ng mga goodies na itech! Kaamoy ng... hahaha! We had to drive aircon-off back to the hotel because of the smell.
After freshening up, we went to the Saang Seafood Resto, overlooking Cebu City. The food was just great. I particularly enjoyed the baked scallops. Yum! We also ran into Bebet Gador's dad here.
After dinner our last Cebu stop is the "Top", which showcased the Cebu City Lights (from a higher vantage point). We took turns taking pictures in the dark, also making use of Papa's tiny cellphone flashlight. It was cooler at the top. And it was a nice last stop for the last leg of our trip.
Back to the hotel, some of us were able to get some shut-eye. We had to leave at 2AM to catch our 4AM flight back to Manila.
Haaay... All in all. Bohol is more for nature tripping... Seeing the wonders of nature. Food is a little pricey. And the number of tourists have grown over the years. Cebu seems like an extension of Manila. Given the number of high-end hotels, it seems Cebu is home to a lot of wealthy peeps. The place where the Ayala Cebu Mall was located felt like Alabang! Hehe! I would've wanted to stay longer in Cebu though... Maybe check in Shangri-La Mactan for three days... until my bank account bleeds dry. Haha!
The trip was fun! It's always fun when you're with family. :) Tita Myr was a hoot. I love all the pics I took of her (candid and otherwise).
So next stop.... Haha... I don't know where yet. There have been talks of Baguio though. But nothing definite yet. Well, summer is far from over. So who knows? :)
