First Saturday Prayer Meeting & Lody's 55th Birthday

The Aguirre clan all gathered on the sixth of May to participate in the First Saturday Prayer Meeting at the Geocaniga home and to celebrate the 55th birthday of Lody (my mom). The Prayer meeting started past 8PM. I think it's been a while since we last had such good attendance. Siguro umabot ng 100 peeps yung present that night. Naturally, the Geocaniga family was the sponsor. Papa King's passing and the remembrance of our beloved Tito Ely were included in the special intentions of the rosary. Mitchie read the litany as well, in thanksgiving for her recent accomplishment.

We had two very special guests that night (sitting comfortably on the buffet table). Cebu Lechon AND! Lechon with Love from Tondo. Also present were are very good friends Mang Tomas All Around Sarsa and Andok's Litson Sarsa. Hmmm... ang mga cholesterol!

Most of the Tanquiluts were present and a couple of Aguirres. Mama's high school friends were there (well... two of them), and so were our neighbors here in San Antonio. One of my best friends, Karina, and her mom Tita Lydia, came too! The happy beeday celebrant went around entertaining her guests.

It was pretty obvious from the long line to the buffet that everyone had one agenda for the next 30 minutes after the prayer meeting proper... EAT! See before and after shots below. Talagang parang dinaanan ng bagyo! And take note! Wala pang isang oras ang pagitan ng pagtake ng mga pics na ire!

Gibo most recently cut his hair and is looking quite spiffy! As seen below, binanatan din nya yung lechon! Haha! Growing boy eh!

The real growing boy of the family is none other than BG and Lencx's joy and pride - Nickher! This very "cheeky" baby is a year and 6 months old (mas matanda kay Fonzie pero mas malaki kay Fonzie!). He enjoys watching Barney and most recently is showing off his dancing skills. Lencx reports their son is very fond of the songs of Tolits.
Daddy BG by the way, is currently working in Dell as a First Level Technical Support agent. Lencx has lost some weight through the dieting techniques of not eating much during the evenings and boxing.

Of course, everytime I see Fonzie, I can't help but keep the pictures coming! The camera loves this kid! He played with a pair of billiard balls.

Birthday din actually ni Tito Lito (lam nyo namang joint celebration madalas ang mga first-week-of-May celebrants). Check out the pulutan spread! Astig diba?! Kasama sa pulutan ang leche flan! Hehe! Tito Frank Ramirez gladly provided some acoustic entertainment as well by playing a few songs on the guitar.

Syempre merong blowing of the cake. Mama blew the double 5 candles on her Goldilocks chocolate marble cake. Everyone sang "Happy Birthday" at least 3 times I think!

April celebrant Fonzie blew the candles as well... para kay Lolo Lito nya...

Kudos to Master Chef Ate Henny for creating her culinary masterpieces! Sarap Sarap! Everyone went home full and happy (some will be dreaming about the creamy lengua... yummmeeee!)

Tito Lito, Kuya Jun, and Kuya Andre closed the party (at 1:30 AM officially). Those of us who stayed and chatted with these merry men got to listen to Tito Lito's quips about viagra and his stories from the days of yore. Just this week, when he and Kuya Andre were in Makati, Tito Lito wanted to go to Josephine's in Greenbelt. "Tito, wala ng Josephine's dun!" Kuya Andre retorted.

Happy Beeday Mama! And thank you everyone for coming!
